  1. Earthquakes, volcanoes and mountains are related by them all being created by tectonic plates. They can also be related because they are all made of earths rocks.

  2. I think earthquakes, volcanos, and mountains are related by all being formed by the tectonic plates. They could also all be related by the process of how they’re made.

    • I claim that volcanoes, earthquakes, and mountains are related by all involving tectonic plates. Earthquakes are formed by the ground pulling apart on a Divergent boundary they can also form because of a transform and a convergent boundary. Volcanoes are formed by plates pushing together or pulling apart. That’s why sometimes there in the same area as a earthquake. And then Mountains are formed by the plates smashing into each other. That’s why they’re all related, its from the tectonic plates.

  3. Earthquakes, volcanoes and mountains are all related through tectonic plates because earthquakes are caused by plates hitting other plates. Volcanoes are formed on the fault line between plates. Mountains are formed by two continental plates hitting each other.

    • Earthquakes, volcanoes and mountains are all related through tectonic plates because earthquakes are caused by plates hitting other plates. Volcanoes are formed on the fault line between plates. Mountains are formed by two continental plates or an oceanic and continental hitting each other.

  4. I think that earthquakes, volcanoes, and mountains are related because they all made by being compressed by 2 plates. Or that they all are coming from a convergent tectonic boundary.

    • I claim that earthquakes, volcanoes, And mountains are related because they are all made by a tectonic plate. My evidence is on the tectonic organizer it shows that transform boundaries only have earthquakes. Divergent have earthquakes and volcanoes. Convergent(O-O) have earthquakes and volcanoes. Convergent(O-C) have earthquakes, volcanoes, and mountains. And convergent(C-C) have earthquakes, and mountains.

  5. How are earthquakes, volcanoes, and mountains related? What they all have in common is they are all caused by tectonic plates. In earth science, we are learning about the layers of the earth and tectonic plates. So the heat or magma cause the plates to move, and the plates move in a certain way to cause earthquakes, volcanoes, and mountains.

  6. I think volcanoes, earthquakes and mountains are related because of tectonic plates. Tectonic plates can rub together or grind together or crush themselves into each other and cause natural disasters like volcanoes, earthquakes and mountains.

    • I claim that they are related because of tectonic plates. My evidence is that tectonic plates will crush into each other causing mountains and earthquakes, pull apart and cause earthquake or volcanoes, or rub against each other and cause earthquakes.

  7. I think earthquakes, volcanoes, and mountains are all related by how they are all formed by tectonic plates rubbing into each other.I also believe they are all related by how they came from convection.

    • I claim that earthquakes, volcanoes, and mountains are all causes by the tectonic plates. My evidence is that earthquakes are caused by 2 tectonic plates rubbing against each other. Volcanoes are formed by lava/ magma rising up to the surface from mantle and then I think lithospheric plates break causing a big explosion…..BOOM. The mountains are formed by 2 tectonic plates going head-on at each other and 1 plate going under the other one causing the other one to go upwards causing that big mountain.

  8. Earthquakes, Volcanoes, and mountains are all the same because they all involve the tectonic plates and/or boundaries. When the tectonic boundaries shift, there’s 3 kinds of boundaries, divergent, transform, and convergent. Divergent pulls two plates away from each other, while convergent pushes the plates into each other, last but not least transform slides the plates passed each other.

    • I claim that earthquakes, volcanoes, and mountains are related by the mantle. My evidence is that volcanoes are formed in the mantle and raised by hot spots in the mantle. Also mountains are formed when the tectonic plates in the mantle start over-lapping each other, making it higher than the surface, forming a mountain. Last but not least earthquakes occur when the tectonic plates shift in the mantle, causing vibrations to the surface.

  9. I claim that earthquakes, volcanoes, and mountain are all caused by lithospheric movements. My evidence is that earthquakes happen when the crust moves suddenly at transform boundaries, also volcanoes happen when magma rises up from the mantle, and last mountains form when rock is pushed up by the crust at convergent boundaries.

    • I claim that earthquakes, volcanoes, and mountains are all caused by the plates of the earth moving. My evidence for this is that earthquakes are caused by large lithospheric rocks breaking. Volcanoes are caused by magma rising up to the surface from the mantle when this happens large lithospheric rocks can break. Mountains are caused by lithospheric plates running into each other causing one to go under the other, this makes the plate on top go up some making a mountain chain when this all happens large lithospheric rocks can break.

  10. Earthquakes, volcanoes, and mountains are all related by tectonic plates. All three are formed by the movement of tectonic plates. The heat or magma causes them to move

    • I claim earthquakes, volcanoes, and mountains are all related by tectonic plates. My evidence is when tectonic plates move they all form all of those. When tectonic plates stick they cause an earthquake. When tectonic plates colide they form a mountain. The tectonic plates float on the lava and when they move they cause a volcano.

  11. Well i think that Earthquakes, volcanoes and mountains are all related because tectonic plates are hitting all of the other plates. Where as the Volcanoes are made on the fault line right in between all the plates. Mountains are created when two continental plates hit each other and make mountains.

    • I claim that earthquakes volcanoes and mountains are related by plates or tectonic plates. My evidence is that some, but not all, earthquakes are related to volcanoes. For example, most earthquakes are along the edges of the tectonic plates. But Most earthquakes directly beneath a volcano are caused by the movement of magma. The magma exerts pressure on the rocks until it cracks the rock and makes an earthquake. Another thing that they have in common is that volcanoes and earthquakes are caused by plates or tectonic plates. But the Volcanoes are formed by tectonic plates crashing into each other and shooting upward, very much like mountains. These volcanoes have a path, or hole, leading to the Earth’s mantle, where magma, or lava, are at called the oceans ridge.
I also claim that mountains are related by plates crashing together to form each of them. My evidence is that Mountains and Volcanoes are somewhat similar but the major thing that makes them different is the way that they are formed. A mountain is formed due to a lot of geological processes like movement and opposition of tectonic plates but a volcano is formed around a ridge that allows magma to reach the surface of the earth.

  12. They are related in the fact that they are all made by divergent, oceanic-oceanic, and oceanic-continental tectonic boundaries. They also each have different shapes and sizes.

    • I claim that Volcanoes, mountains and earthquakes are all a part of the geosphere. My evidence is that mountains and earthquakes are created by colliding plates. And volcanoes can sometimes erupt because of an earthquake. And volcanoes and mountains are made of rock.

  13. I believe that earthquakes, volcanoes, and mountains are related by tectonic plates because when they rub together of crash into each other it will most of the time cause natural disasters like earthquakes, volcanoes, or mountains.

    • I claim that all of the Earth’s earthquakes, volcanoes, and mountains all occur from Earth’s tectonic plates. My evidence is when tectonic plates are pushed together they either create earthquakes or mountains while volcanoes are created when the plates from earth melts and creates magma that will either rise to Earth’s crust and form into a volcano or crystallize before it gets to the surface.

  14. I think mountains, volcanoes, and earthquakes are all related because they all have to do with tectonic plates. When tectonic plates crash into each other it can make mountains or volcanoes and when they run against each other it causes an earthquake.

  15. I think that volcanoes and earthquakes and mountains are related by the movement of tectonic plates. If the plates ram each other they could make volcanoes or mountains and the pushing and cracking is an earthquake.

  16. I think earthquakes, volcanoes and mountains are related because all are formed by the tectonic plates. They rub together and crash together and cause disasters like earthquakes, volcanoes and mountains.

  17. Earthquakes, Volcanoes, and Mountains are all formed by the Tectonic plates movement, therefore, that makes them all related, like cousins of sorts.
Like Hawaii’s Mt. kiluaya, ( I think that’s how you spell it,) it formed on an island that was
Formed by a underwater volcano that erupted multiple times to form Hawaii’s islands,
    ( I think there’s ten total, counting the small ones, ) ▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▒▒▒▒▒▒░░░░░

  18. I claim that earthquakes, mountains, and volcanoes are related
My evidens is all 3 of these things happen because of earth’s tectonic plates. The movement of these plates can cause these. There under the stress of shear, tension, or eather compression. They rub together pull away from each other or crash together.because of these plates

    • I claim that earthquakes, mountains, and volcanoes are related because of earth’s tectonic plates,My evidence is earthquakes, mountains, and volcanoes all happen because of earth’s tectonic plates, these plates are under the stress of shear, tension, or either compression. From there movement For example, most earthquakes are along the edges of tectonic plates. This is where most volcanoes are too…. Most earthquakes directly beneath a volcano are caused by the movement of magma. The magma causes tension

  19. I claim that volcanoes, mountains and earthquakes are caused by tectonic plate shifts. There are many types of volcanoes some are made under water and it will become an island but that will take millions of years to form one. Mountains are made when divergent plates move and it is when two plates are compressed together and form a mountain. Earthquakes will happen when other plates scrape together to make a mountain.

    • They are related sins they are all from the tectonic plates when they shift it my cased a Earthquakes or a motion. volcanoes are caused by mgumu which came from the plants core and that flow and tren into rock that will keep doing that so the volcano will form after thousands this of years to forme.

  20. Well how are earthquakes, volcanoes and mountains related you ask. Well it’s simple there all caused by movement of the tectonic plates.

  21. I think earthquakes, volcanoes, and mountains are all related through the movement of tectonic plates. For example, earthquakes are caused when two plates collide with each other. Volcanoes are located right in between the fault line of these plates and mountains are caused when two continental plates collide each other. So, in conclusion, that’s how earthquakes, volcanoes, and mountains are related.

    • I claim that earthquakes, volcanoes, and mountains are all related because they all involve tectonic plates. My evidence is that earthquakes are formed when the ground pulls apart on a divergent boundary, which is two tectonic plates that are moving away from each other, they also are formed by a transform boundary which is two tectonic plates moving alongside each other, and a convergent boundary which is when tectonic plates or fragments of the lithosphere move toward one another and collide. Volcanoes are formed when a tectonic plate is subducted beneath a continental plate, as it gets pushed down into the mantle it becomes very hot. This causes the molten rock to be pushed upward through the crust. The pressure can force pressurized rock and gas up out of the surface, creating an eruption. Finally, a mountain is created when two lithospheric plates collide. So, in conclusion, that’s how earthquakes, volcanoes, and mountains are related by tectonic plates.

  22. I think that earthquakes volcanoes and mountains are related because they are all made from tectonic plates being pushed together or apart. They are also related because they all are made from rock.

  23. Earthquakes, Volcanoes, and Mountains all form for very similar reasons. Earthquakes happen in a few ways such as; Tectonic plates grinding against each other or them slipping as they shift and move. Volcanoes can form from the mid ocean ridge or hotspots in random areas. They rise up from the moving magma and form into the actual volcanoes. They erupt when they are disturbed or the gases have built up enough for them to activate. Mountains are different than these two because they usually form when the lithosphere is thick and then they are pushed up to the point that the rock has risen.

  24. I claim that earthquakes, mountains, and volcanoes are related through tectonic plates. My evidence is that when plates slip, the fault line can form volcanoes. When plates ram and get pushed up it forms a mountain. When the plates slip it causes vibrations that are earthquakes.

  25. I claim that volcanoes, mountains and earthquakes are caused by tectonic plate shifts. My evidence is volcanoes are located right in between the fault line of plates and mountains are caused when two continental plates collide each other. And earthquakes are caused when two plates collide with each other.

  26. I claim that mountains, volcanoes, earthquakes are related, my evidence is that they are all made of tectonic plates but they have different boundaries though that may or may not have the effects of any of them. Transform boundary is where they go opposite ways of each other it’s a shear stress which may cause earthquakes but not volcanoes. Divergent boundary which is moving away from each other which is tension as the stress for this boundary now this might have earthquakes and volcanoes. Now convergent boundaries there are three Oceanic-oceanic, Oceanic- Continental, Continental-Continental. All of these play a big part in quakes and volcanoes, mountains.

  27. I claim that earthquakes, volcanoes, and mountains are connected because they all are effects of the tectonic boundaries, divergent, transform, convergent oceanic-oceanic, convergent oceanic-continental, and convergent continental-continental. My eveidence is that not all the boundaries have earthquakes, volcanoes, and mountains, but all of the tectonic boundaries can create earthquakes. The ones that have volcanoes are divergent, convergent oceanic-oceanic, and convergent oceanic-continental.The ones that have moutains are convergent oceanic-continental, and convergent continental-continental.

  28. I claim that they are all involve from the earth’s crust. My evidence is mountains involve the earth’s crust by pushing the crust up. Earthquakes involve from the earth’s crust by pulling and shearing apart the earth’s crust. Volcanoes involve the crust by having rocks deep in the earth melt to form magma and then the magma is less dense than the surrounding rock so it pushes the crust up into a volcano.

  29. I claim that Earthquakes, Volcanoes, and Mountains related by how they are formed. My evidence is they are all formed by the Tectonic Plate Boundaries shifting. In the Convergent Oceanic-Continental Boundary, all three are formed in this boundary. The Earthquakes are caused by all five boundaries and Volcanoes are caused by Divergent Boundaries, Convergent O-O and O-C Boundaries. Only O-C Convergent Boundary can produce Mountains. Volcanic activity, such as erupting, can cause Earthquakes in Oceanic-Continental collision, and with the O-C collision, cause Mountains, so all three are related by the Tectonic Boundary of Convergent O-C.

  30. I claim that volcanoes are made from 4 things, Divergent, Convergent (O-O), Convergent (O-C) they all make volcanoes. Divergent is the main one though because it creates Rift Valley and it has faults and it does create earthquakes also.Mountains are made from when plates collide pushing upwards. Earthquakes are made when plates slide on eachother but people notice when earthquakes happen and they can be prepared.

  31. I claim that earthquakes, volcanoes and mountains are related. I know this because volcanoes and earthquakes are usually both made along the edge of the plates and mountains are formed almost the same way as volcanoes.

  32. I claim, earthquakes, volcanoes, and mountains are related by them being built by techtonic plate boundaries and convection cells. They are all built differently like mountains are built by two plates pushing together → ← and one plate slowly starts going up and the other keeps going forward making a mountain and earthquakes and volcanoes that’s a different story and by now you are probably not reading now so I will just end it here.

  33. I claim that earthquakes, volcanoes, and mountains are related through faults.
My evidence is that earthquakes happen when land plates slip and move against
Each other.Volcanoes usually happen in long fault lines when magma does move around. Mountains form when plates push in each other.

  34. I claim that they are all related because they were all formed due to tectonic boundaries. My evidence is that there are tectonic plates that are pushing into each other so they push the land that is above it upwards. They could all be made by different plate boundaries – transform boundaries, divergent boundaries, and convergent boundaries. There are 3 types of convergent boundaries. There are oceanic – oceanic, oceanic – continental, and continental – continental. Earthquakes can happen in all tectonic boundaries, and volcanoes can happen in divergent, convergent oceanic – oceanic, and convergent oceanic – continental.

  35. I claim, earthquakes, volcanoes, and mountains are related by them being built by tectonic plate boundaries and convection cells. They are all built differently like mountains are built by two plates pushing together → ← and one plate slowly starts going up and the other keeps going forward making a mountain and earthquakes are built by two plates rubbing together but in different directions and earth is never 100% strat so they will get stuck and with enough force they will split apart and release the friction making an earthquake on earth’s surface and volcanoes they are caused by magma (lava still underground) slowly rising and creating an outward dent in earth’s surface and by now you are probably not reading now so I will just end it here.

  36. Earthquakes, mountains, and volcanoes are all developed by tectonic plates. My evidence is that the plates shifted in certain ways to make way for a volcano to be hollow and for a mountain to be solid. An earthquake is where 2 plates either run into each other or pull away or rub against each other.

  37. I claim that earthquakes, volcanoes, and mountains are related because they all involve tectonic plates. My evidence is that tectonic plates move in certain ways to cause earthquakes, volcanoes, and mountains. To cause an earthquake, the plates move in three different ways. A transform boundary is where the plates rub against each other to create an earthquake. The transform boundary only causes earthquakes. A divergent boundary is where the plates pull apart from each other. The divergent boundary can cause earthquakes and volcanoes. A convergent boundary is where the plates push towards each other. There are three different types of convergent boundaries. Only two out of the three cause earthquakes, volcanoes, and mountains. The other one only causes earthquakes and mountains.

  38. Posted for Kendra:
I claim that earthquakes, volcanoes & mountains are related because of they are all formed by Earth’s crust. My evidence is the Earth’s crusts rises up and forms mountains, Volcanoes are formed by magma rising through the earth’s crust and the crust forms a hollow mountain like structure, the hollow structure fills with magma and turns into a volcano. earthquakes happen when plates of earth’s crusts move or grind together causing waves of magnitude.

  39. I claim that they are related from the tectonic plates in the earth. The divergent plates pull apart or the convergent plates pushing together and will make a mountain or earthquakes. When a convergent or divergent plate occurs it can create a volcano because of the rising magma that leeks through the earth.

  40. I claim the earthquakes, Volcanoes and mountains are related by tectonic plates shaking or rubbing together. First the earthquakes are triggered by all five boundaries and then mountain are triggered by the divergent boundary plus tectonic plates can cause earthquakes.

  41. I claim that mountains volcanoes and earthquakes are all related by tectonic plates. My evidence it that they are made by tectonic plates pushing together or apart and most of them are made on the edges of tectonic plates.
