The one I find most interesting is volcanoes because they happen at random times but you could sometimes tell when they are gonna go off. I find it interesting because they have been around for a long time.

I think volcanoes might be the most interesting because while they are dormant you can sometimes get very close to them. This is very cool and something I would like to do. I also think that when the do erupt it is interesting to see how to affect the environment.

The most interesting natural disaster to me is an earthquake. The earthquake is the most interesting because it can literally wipe out a whole city with just vibrations. Earthquakes can also cause other disasters like tsunamis which is bad because of what it does but is also really interesting. In my opinion it is not only the most interesting it is also the most dangerous.

The reason I find tornadoes interesting is because of the different categories and levels of tornadoes. And the reason I find that interesting is because I have always wanted to know what classified a tornado as a certain level or class.

  5. Raegan says:

I think that volcanos are the most interesting because of the global effects that it can have. An eruption in one area releases ash and CO2, and can actually cool temperatures due to SO2 (sulfuric acid) combing with water to create sulfuric acid, blocking sunlight. It is crazy to think that one event can affect the whole planet in many different ways!

The one thing that stuck with me and i’m going to remember that. There are volcanoes out there so big that after they erupt they change the global temperature by a couple degrees for a couple of years after. Thats one of the reasons that i found volcanoes so interesting during class.

I find thunderstorms the most interesting natural disaster. I think it’s the most interesting because of its ability to create electricity and shoot it down as lightning.

  8. Ally says:

Tornadoes are very interesting by the funnel structure that they create. Tornadoes are able to do a lot of damage in a short amount of time, sweeping through and destroying entire communities and leaving houses with half a roof, cars completely swept up and gone. It’s important that those who lives in areas where tornadoes are common that there is shelter to
protect their families and other loved ones.

The natural disaster that stood out to me and what I found most interesting was definitely Volcanoes. The fact that volcanoes that have not erupted in decades and can just implode without warning.

  10. Kyleisha says:

The one I find more interesting is hurricanes. Living in upper Redlake, Minnesota or just MN in general we obviously don’t get hurricanes. Therefore I find it interesting that they are mostly in warm ocean waters rather than the state with 10,000+ lakes. I also like the fact that they each have their own name, which signifies how severe they are and there are so much to keep track of so they need a label.

I found tornadoes to be the most interesting since they are so destructive even though they come from the clouds which seem so far away. It is also very interesting how when two fronts of air are just the right temperature it causes a giant funnel strong enough to lift a car even though it is just air.

  12. Josh says:

I find earth quakes the most interesting because they mainly happen on the fault lines, and so they typically stay away from us.

  13. marchello says:

Probably volcanos cause theres different kinds and instead of just randomly occurring like a tornado or earthquake its just a matter of when it’ll activate and also the causes of activation can be different as well. So to me it just seems like the most interesting for all the different factors it has.

I think volcanoes are very interesting to me since most have been inactive for years but they can still erupt at any moment without warning. One in particular, Mount St. Helens, is known for its catastrophic eruption that happened in the 1980’s. After the eruption, it scattered ash across some states.

  15. neal says:

volcanoes are very interesting because they can have a global effect on climate and life by blowing up and covering the atmosphere in ash and bock out the sun. and i find it interesting because is like a natural nuclear bomb that can have a mass effect on the world.

  16. Carlito says:

I find volcanoes most interesting because its such a unique thing. Like how a volcano is shaped and how its super hot inside, its lava and stuff. And how if it were to erupt again it would literally destroy everything in its path because of its lava. I just find volcanoes being super cool

  17. Glenn says:

What I find most interesting about hurricanes is that they move up from big bodies of water then move ashore towards homes and work buildings and they go from category 5 to lower when they hit land. I think what interests me most is that they have been more frequent this year than any other year i’ve seen more than 9 this year while watching the news.

  18. Gaven says:

I find tornados the most interesting. What makes tornados interesting to me because they come from strong wind.
