When the Hunga-Tonga-Hunga-Hapai volcano erupted last it killed 19 people and did over 20 million dollars in damage In December 2021. But it hasn’t erupted since and is dormant now.

    • Lukas says:

Cool. But if it were to erupt right now, without warning, what do you think would happen?

    • reid says:

I am surprised it only killed 19 because that is such a low number for a big tsunami. I am pretty sure you said the eruption is bigger than the Tsar Bomba. That is 4 times bigger than Castle Bravo. What type of volcano is it?

  3. reid says:

Komagatake has no volcanic activity. There was an eruption

Vulcano is continuously active, but its last big eruption was in 1888; being the only active volcano in the Aeolian islands. Tourists who visit Vulcano, have the choice to take MUDBATHS, that’s pretty cool; but I would never do that. Vulcano is 4 km wide (or 2.5 miles if you don’t know what a kilometer is.).

    • Cyra says:

That’s cool. I wouldn’t take a mudbath either. How did you find out that people take mudbaths?

      • LONI says:

So, whenever you’re at Vulcano and you’re walking on it, there are multiple mud pits that are safe enough for swimming in, and you can just GO IN ONE while you’re walking! (obviously if you have a swimsuit or something). it’s actually one of the main reasons people GO there, so that’s how i found out!

Two interesting facts about my volcano are, a recreational complex was made there, and it was discovered in 1854. Even though it is named McDonald island there is no McDonald on the island.

    • LONI says:

It’s extremely ironic that there’s no McDonald’s on MCDONALD island, but why IS there a recreational complex on the island? is it popular or something?

  12. Liana says:
